John Waters, the cult filmmaker behind Pink Flamingos and Hairspray — the Pope of Trash himself — is back on the road. The John Waters tour rolls out as Going to Extremes: A John Waters 80th Birthday Celebration, a new solo spoken-word show marking his milestone 80th birthday with fresh rants on culture, aging, and everything filthy.
It kicked off April 11, 2026 in the U.S., with stops in Berkeley, Napa, Portland, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and Provincetown, before crossing the Atlantic for UK dates in Manchester, Glasgow, and Bristol. On the festival side, Waters returns to host Mosswood Meltdown in Oakland this July, joined by headliners Iggy Pop and Bikini Kill, with a pre-party featuring Pavement. Grab your tickets before they vanish.
